Bodies in Motion – Minds in Transformation?!

On the Significance of Embodied Art Experiences

location: Café Muffatwerk

Monday, 13 July | 5.30–6.30 pm
Doors open from 5 pm

Panel discussion with Prof. Claudia Steinberg (German Sport University

Cologne), Ceren Oran (choreographer), Dr. Tina Schwender (Technical University of Munich), and others

How do people experience dance and performance – physically, emotionally and through shared activity? The discussion examines different ways of engaging with dance – ranging from watching to participating, and from artistic experience to educational aspirations. The focus is on the question of what significance such experiences can have for individual development and social interaction. The panel discussion brings together perspectives from artistic practice, research and education policy.

Concept: Dr. Tina Schwender

TUM tanzt! is an initiative of the Technical University of Munich that brings dance to life in all its diversity. Through workshops, performances and project formats, the platform creates a space for dance art at the intersection of science, social participation and holistic health promotion. The events invite participants not only to experience dance as spectators, but also to get moving themselves. Together, we create opportunities for encounter, creativity and reflection.
