Piyawat Louilarpprasert und Daniella Strasfogel (D)
WIE DAS FLUNKERT
A musical theatre about deception and sonic detours

location: Schauburg Labor

Thursday, 9 July | 10 am

Friday, 10 July | 10 am

Sunday, 12 July | 4 pm

Yes. No. Not quite. Well, almost. That’s almost the whole truth. The twisted truth. Together with the Tetra Brass ensemble and a member of the Schauburg theatre company, the audience experiences just how difficult it can sometimes be to tell the truth. Because it can be hurtful. Or embarrassing. Or frightening. That’s why it’s sometimes easier to tell the truth by taking a few detours. But where exactly is the line drawn? How far is politeness or imagination acceptable, and when does it turn into malice?

Piyawat Louilarpprasert, originally from Bangkok, is a composer of contemporary music. His compositions have already won numerous awards and been performed in more than 20 countries across Asia, Europe and the USA.

Daniella Strasfogel is a musician and theatre maker. She has been developing musical theatre pieces and experiences for young audiences for many years. During the 2023–24 season, she was resident director at the tjg. theater junge generation in Dresden. She heads the music education department at the Nikolaisaal in Potsdam.
