SYMPOSIUM
Shared Stage –
Participation in Motion
A symposium on participation in choreographic practice
How does choreography emerge from encounters with young people?
What influence do these “young” impulses actually have on the creative process of a choreography? And how does the moment of
the choreographic performance connect with the audience’s immediate reaction?
Fokus Tanz München and junges tanzhaus nrw explore the diverse forms
of participatory work, drawing inspiration from Alfredo Zinola’s production “Posto.”
The focus is on international perspectives: Zita Epenge and Britt Lemmens (Hetpaleis, BE) present examples of co-creation processes, and Christina Elliot (The Place, UK) discusses touring models using the example of the Munich explore dance production “Prisma” by Rotem Weissman.
Other key topics include insights into artistic participatory practices (Lena Großmann, Anna Konjetzky) and current research (Prof. Dr. Christiane Plank-Baldauf, Ulrike Wörner von Faßmann). The symposium also serves as a meeting place for a group of artists from Düsseldorf and Munich.
