Ceren Oran (D)
GUTE WUT
Dance theatre exploring powerful emotions and how we navigate our own and others’ boundaries

location: Schauburg Labor

Thursday, 16 July | 9 am and 10.30 am
Sunday, 19 July | 2.30 pm and 4 pm

Stop. This far and no further. I see red. A red line. Step in front of it? Step on it? Step over it? Over it. Now it feels all jumbled up. It’s getting stormy and overwhelming. What is this? A feeling? It must be; it’s here: the anger. Anger is roaring and sometimes eerie, but it makes me feel good. It shows me the way, and I’m taking you with me: here is my line, this is where it ends. You can step in front of it, sometimes on it, but not over it – please be careful. That’s my boundary; where’s yours?

Ceren Oran, winner of the 2022 City of Munich Sponsorship Award, was born in Istanbul, studied contemporary dance in Salzburg and works as a freelance dancer, choreographer and sound painter. Her works for young audiences are performed nationally and internationally on prominent stages and at festivals. For “Gute Wut”, Ceren Oran was awarded the German theatre prize DER FAUST 2025 in the category “Direction: Theatre for Young Audiences”.
